It's Still Christmas - A Reflection for the Second Day of Christmas

It's still Christmas.

For the rest of the world Christmas maybe over, the presents are opened and the parties are done. For the Christian calendar however, Christmas has only just begun. People sometimes get a feeling of disappointment after something they have been looking forward to for a long time is over. Sometimes that is the case after the first day of Christmas when only empty wrapping paper here and there remind you of the earlier excitement.

I invite you to use this time to reflect on the real meaning of Christmas in your life.

  • What difference does it make to you that Jesus was incarnated?

  • What are the struggles in your life right now?

Reflect on how God better understands those struggles because of being incarnated in the person of Christ.

Say a prayer of thanksgiving for this second day of Christmas.
