🥫The Ebbs Chapel Food Pantry: Our October Mission of the Month
The Ebbs Chapel Food Pantry, a ministry of our sister congregation at Bright Hope Laurel United Methodist Church, is our October Mission of the Month.
Located beside the Ebbs Chapel Community Center, the pantry distributes food, water, and essential supplies every Saturday morning from 9–11 am, rain or shine, to families throughout Madison County. In partnership with MANNA Food Bank of Asheville, volunteers from the Upper Laurel community help address food insecurity affecting nearly 14% of our county’s residents—including more than 3,000 children.
Food insecurity doesn’t just affect health; it also impacts a child’s ability to learn and grow. The Pantry supplements donated food with fresh, healthy purchases from local sources thanks to the generosity of churches and neighbors across our community.
