Call to Worship

How lonely the city sits, once full of people.
We come with the cry of Lamentations on our lips.

By the rivers of Babylon, we sat down and wept.
We bring our grief and our questions before God.

Jesus wept at the tomb of his friend.
We come to worship a Savior who knows our sorrows.

Even in lament, God is with us. Even in grief, God’s love endures.
Let us worship God—who gathers our tears, bears our pain, and promises new life.

The Great Thanksgiving

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Creator, who makes us whole, holy is your name.

Your healing come, your justice be done,
on earth as in heaven.

Give us today the bread that nourishes body and spirit.
Forgive us when we wound one another,
as we forgive those who wound us.

Lead us away from that which destroys,
and deliver us into your wholeness.

For yours is the kingdom of compassion,
the power of love,
and the glory of new life, now and forever.
Amen.
