Welcome
Call to Worship
We gather today among the saints of every time and place—
To praise the God who has called us beloved.
Some wore robes and halos; others wore aprons, overalls, and hospital gowns.
All bore the light of Christ in their living.
Some shouted good news from pulpits and street corners.
Others whispered hope in hospital rooms and kitchen tables.
We come, thankful for the saints who have shaped us, and ready to live as saints of this day.
Blessed are the misfits, the merciful, the peacemakers, for theirs is the Kin-dom of God!

Confession & Pardon
Let us confess before God and one another our need for grace.
Merciful God, we confess that we have not always lived as your blessed ones.
We have sought comfort over courage, and self-interest over compassion.
We have turned away from those who mourn and ignored the cries of the meek.
Forgive us, we pray. Renew your Spirit within us, that we may live as your saints — humble, merciful, and pure in heart.
Hear the good news: The same Christ who called the mourners blessed now calls us beloved.
In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
 Glory to God! Amen.
The Great Thanksgiving
The Lord’s Prayer
Loving Creator,
you dwell among us and invite us to your table.
 May your kin-dom come near,
and your dream of justice and joy take root on earth.
Give us this day the bread we truly need—
the bread of compassion, the bread of enough.
Forgive us when we hoard or exclude,
and teach us to forgive with open hands and hearts.
Lead us away from fear and into your abundant life.
For yours is the kin-dom, the power of love,
and the glory of grace, now and forever. Amen.
